COVID-19 Information

New York state has issued a "travel advisory" against Select States requiring quarantine upon your arrival into our state. As "advisories" change daily here, we advise that you visit New York state's web site for up to the minute information, click here before making your reservation. We are not responsible if you travel against such advisory. If you need to cancel a reservation due to a travel "advisory" or corona virus illness, your reservation will be refunded minus the applicable cancellation fee or you can obtain a gift voucher to apply toward any future stay within the next 12 months.

The Fox and The Grapes has always maintained a high level of cleanliness and will continue to follow our cleaning regimen in the months ahead, including the continued sanitizing of all hard surfaces commonly touched or used by us or our guests. Additionally, as of July 16th, we will no longer accept groups traveling together of more than 4. (if you already have a reservation as a group, this will not affect you). If you are a group of 4, you will need to contact us to make the reservation.   Social distancing is not a problem here.

Guest rooms have always been fully cleaned and bedding laundered after each guest, and often during our guests' stays. We will continue with that regimen but will allow you to determine whether you want your room refreshed daily during your stay.  We do ask that you assist us in our efforts by removing your shoes before entering your guest room. We will have dedicated mats in all guest rooms for your shoes. Safe food handling and preparation practices have always been the "normal" here and will continue.

At the Fox and the Grapes, we have a guest lounge, as well as our open air deck for breakfast service. All tables, inside and out, accommodate parties of two only and are spaced appropriately.   As our bed and breakfast has only five rooms, there will never be more than 10 guests on site at any one time. Just a reminder: Only registered guests are allowed on our property.

For your convenience, inside our bed and breakfast you will find a large guest lounge, lobby, and two parlors for relaxation and enjoyment. We also provide several covered porches and plenty of outside space to relax. We do not require you to stay inside your room, however, we trust you can determine what's best for you when it comes to your health. Feel free to visit our Gallery tab on this site to view our spaces, inside and out.

Most area restaurants are open, some offer outdoor dining. Most have limited seating so plan on a wait or make a reservation in advance (not all restaurants take reservations). Restaurants closest to us, Dano's and Stonecat Cafe accept reservations but are not open every day. Refer to their web site for current hours of operation. Tasting rooms are open and many require reservations for tastings, especially on the weekends. Those closest to us, Silver Thread, Lamoreaux, and Wagner Vineyards, require appointments for a tasting. Face coverings will be required while indoors if you are not seated or doing a tasting, but you can purchase wine, and most allow consumption outside without a face covering, but always double check as policies may vary. It is advised that you plan your visit ahead of time by visiting the web sites of each winery/brewery you plan on doing a tasting to make your reservation and also to check their restrictions.  Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about a specific winery or restaurant.

Currently, our normal cancellation policy applies to all reservations and most of our usual B and B policies have not changed, except relating to groups, but you can review them, here.

Please call or email us if you have any other questions. We hope to see you all very soon.
